What to Expect During a Shoot
There are several stages that are performed on a complete production photo shoot.
This typically breaks down into four different stages.
Pre-Production
Pre-production is where we establish the direction of the project. This includes logistics, story-boarding and establishing the tone, look and feel. This provides a roadmap for subsequent stages of development.
Production
Production essentially covers all the processes that occur on the day of the shoot. This includes hair/make-up, lighting design, directing of the talent, photography and striking of the set. Professional grade equipment is used to ensure the highest production quality while maintaining special attention to detail to ensure the safety of everyone on location.
All images are captured with the latest in digital photography technology, including a 21-megapixel D-SLR with a second 21-megapixel camera as a back-up to guarantee a production without hick-ups. Cameras are purchased as new and are replaced within two years.
All lenses used in this production are professional Canon L-series prime lenses or their german Zeiss equivalent, regularly factory-tuned and privately owned by Mark J. Sebastian.
All lights and heavy equipment are transported via military-grade fire/water/bullet/impact proof cases and feature wheels to ensure there is no damage to the facilities flooring and locking mechanisms to prevent theft and tampering.
Post-Production Post-production encapsulates everything that occurs after the images have been captured. The editing processes involves the selection of the images that will be retouched for delivery. Retouching involves the detailed work of micro adjustments to exposure, color balancing, skin tone balancing, removal of blemishes, and many other image enhancements to create a polished final image. Once the retouching is complete, the client will be allowed to review the set before delivery of the high-resolution images.
As an extra safety measure, all images are copied from our memory cards onto a RAID-5 harddrive enclosure, backed up onto an internal drive for extra redudancy, then backed up once again to an external harddrive which is transported to second location for increased safety. Furthermore, the images are not erased from the memory cards until this final backup is completed.

Post-production is performed on a routinely hardware-calibrated professional display powered by a Two Quad-Core Intel Xeon Mac Pro with the latest and most advanced photography software available today. This ensures color consistancy between print and web.
Delivery
Though it is not uncommon to generate hundreds or even thousands of images within a day, we guarantee the delivery of a select handful of highly polished final images, ready for commercial print and web usage.

Encounter Inspiration
Special Thanks
I'd like to thank Charles Yi and Justin Fong of The Mighty Fifty for being the ultimate collaborative crew that opened up my career to a completely new direction and supporting all of my Los Angeles efforts.
Markus Klinko and Indrani, the hardest-working photographers on the planet, for teaching me the importance of a dynamic team and ultra high standards, all while being filmed for Bravo TV.
Also a special thanks to Steve Ha (Flavor Innovator) for creating the "Mark J. Sebastian" identity and maintaining a level of creativity and originality that is always inspiring.
To my neighbors Quincy and Katie of Rock The Image for redefining friendship and sticking with me through thick and thin.
To every member of The Bangerz crew for making the music that motivates nearly every pixel manipulation when I am retouching and showing me the world through A.H. colored glasses.
Lastly, I'd like to thank Jackie Martinez for taking that first leap-of-faith with me, believing in me since day one and persevering through over 10,000 portraits long before I had a name or a portfolio.
